of the mighty men

concretely, crushed; also afraid; abstractly, terror -- broken, dismayed, dread, fear.
and they that stumbled

to totter or waver (through weakness of the legs, especially the ankle); by implication, to falter, stumble, faint or fall

to belt -- bind (compass) about, gird (up, with).
with strength

probably a force, whether of men, means or other resources; an army, wealth, virtue, valor, strength
