For behold I will send
shalach  (shaw-lakh')
to send away, for, or out (in a great variety of applications)
serpents
nachash  (naw-khawsh')
a snake (from its hiss) -- serpent.
cockatrices
tsepha`  (tseh'-fah)
from an unused root meaning to extrude; a viper (as thrusting out the tongue, i.e. hissing) -- adder, cockatrice.
among you which will not be charmed
lachash  (lakh'-ash)
a whisper, i.e. by implication, (in a good sense) a private prayer, (in a bad one) an incantation; concretely, an amulet -- charmed, earring, enchantment, orator, prayer.
and they shall bite
nashak  (naw-shak')
to strike with a sting (as a serpent); figuratively, to oppress with interest on a loan -- bite, lend upon usury.
