literally, a cord (as an attachment); figuratively, expectancy -- expectation (-ted), hope, live, thing that I long for.
of the wicked

morally wrong; concretely, an (actively) bad person -- + condemned, guilty, ungodly, wicked (man), that did wrong.
shall perish

to wander away, i.e. lose oneself; by implication to perish (causative, destroy)
